You should now see "Thread Starter" as a banner in your avatar area (see attached).
I really do need to credit @AndyXen here as after our upgrade to Xenforo 2.2 he volunteered to solve our login problem for free when nobody else could solve it. He's also got literally HUNDREDS of add-ons, some of which we're using on the site now. For anyone who wanders into this thread that is curious, his XF2 add-ons can be found here: XF2 Addons
