Root Possibly a system ui mod?

I'm just wondering if someone with a little more experience could help me out here, I tried to decompile the system ui from the test D-Fuze rom he posted and It's not decompiling for some reason. You might be able to just extract the files needed from the apk, edit them, then push them back into the apk and zipalign it.

What's the error you're trying with the decompile? Did you install the framework? what version of apktool are you using?

I got it to decompile but Samsung uses different filenames than what this mod calls for so I'll have to go looking for them in a little while.

It could also be because the mod is for jb 4.2.2 and the avant is kk 4.4.2

I was wondering the same thing. I love the card based multitasking of lollipop and kitkat touchwiz recent apps look too simple. Is there a way to just flash a zip file that edits the systemui without having to decompile and manually do it. That would awesome.

There are a few people who got it working on KitKat on there, it was on a Sony phone though. But I think if it works on one kk phone it'll work on all..

Does it do the stacking recents menu like on lollipop or is it just slanted back like it shows in the screenshot

I trust you. I'm just asking if it worked correctly, because it's supposed to make the ui stack like cards from lollipop, they said it might have issues with touchwiz Roms but it was worth a try anyway. Thanks!

It still looks better than stock imo

Is there any way to revert it back? I dont like that I can't scroll through all my open apps when I pull up the recents menu.

Yeah, I can't scroll up and down. I tried just replacing the system ui with the original and now system ui won't even install, tried rebooting and manual install. Nothing.
