Post batt pull observations

Hi all,

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this or has a similar issue, but here are some of the issues i've observed and am experiencing.

After changing batteries (cos i've been out and about all day), upon start up, i realise some of my settings have been reverted. 1.) in Settings, under developer options, my "stay Awake" while charging is reverted to uncheck. I usually have it checked, cos when i charge my phone in the office, i use my calender alot, and have it as a desk clock too. 2.) in my email inbox, the sorting is reverted "by date", though my prefered and previous setting was to be sorted by "unread/read".

On another note, i also keep receiving emails from my gmail, although i've received them before (and even deleted too). Checked all my settings on my gmail account and S3 already. zzzz....

Are you shutting down before you change batteries? On my past phones, a battery pull while powered up causes sort of a "soft" reset (probably clears some of the caches or something), so that could be causing your issues.

Afraid not, i make sure that the phone has shut down fully before i change the batt.

(if you remove batt before fully shut down, the phone starts in Safe Mode upon startup).

Huh- no idea then! I don't have a spare battery, so can't try to duplicate your issue. Have you determined if it's the switch or the pull that's the issue? If you power down. pull the battery, replace the SAME battery & power up, do you still experience the issue, or is it definitely tied to the battery switch itself?

ooooh.... it occurs as long as the battery is removed... regardless of if its the same or different batt.

Hmmm.... guess it will be something that I'll have to live with.

Well, sorry I couldn't help more, but maybe someone else will weigh in with some tips...
