Hello,

I updated my RAZR to ICS last week..all as expected other than my Wifi indicator is not representative of the actual strength ( I believe ). It shows one bar while the phone is on top of the router..the settings says the strength is excellent. Anyone else experience this and is there anything to do? Factory Reset didn't clear it up..

thanks..

I've always had this issue matter what Android version. It will only show 1-2 bars but if I do a speed test it is still fast like normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it

You actually put the phone on the router? I'm not surprised it's showing only one bar.:D:D

Move it away from the router, like a foot or so.

The wifi antenna is the weak link on this otherwise great phone. Hold the bottom of your phone in the palm of your hand and watch the bars drop. I go from -50 dBm to -75 dBm just by doing that using wifi analyzer app. Lousy design because most people hold the bottom half of phone when using their phone.

Why would anyone want to hold their phone? :D:D

I get more usable range at the house over a lot of other devices like the SGN or an iphone.
