Root post-root issues

Since following Beerkan's excellent Root Guide about 5 months ago, I have 2 major issues with my Galaxy Portal on the 3 Network:

(1) A variety of background (Android) apps and main apps (eg Dolphin Browser) stop working and I get a stream of:

"Sorry! 'so-and-so' app is not repsonding" "Force Close or Wait".

This corresponds with a seizing up of the phone for a few moments until it either sorts itself out or re-boots itself.

Can this be fixed somehow ? Is it anything to do the cache ?

(2) Since rooting, I'm unable to "download" or send MMS messages. Is there a fix for this? Very frustrating!

as far as the mms goes, i suggest you check your apn settings, or goto 3's website and support section and get your text/mms settings sent to your phone.

as for the force closing, i guess use apps that work better? Opera mini on 2.1 is stable and supports multitouch
