Post Your Battery Life!

Obviously the main selling point with the MAXX is the 3300mah battery so I'd like to see what you guys are getting.

Please provide an idea of usage and if you are in a 4GLTE area.

Thanks!

Still trying to charge the thing... I keep playing with it so it's been hovering around 60%.

I am a little suprised it comes with only a 750mA charger. My incredible came with a 1A charger, so that's now what I have it plugged into.

Isn't it a bit early to get battery times? How can anybody burn through a fully charged phone at this point and give accurate times? I'm just teasing, I am curious to see the real world data on the battery times.

Well, I have 8 solid hours of screen on time using mine out the box without a charge. It just beeped at me to connect the charger

I fully charged it when i got back from VZW, have been using it non-stop since noon and it's at 80%.

Any ideas as to WHY it shipped with a lesser power charger? Is it a cost-saving measure by Motorola? Or is it better on this big of a battery to charge at a lower amperage?

Hmm, might just try using the Incredible charger. I let mine run dead yesterday and plugged it in to charge last night. Guess I didn't get the charger plugged in good last night as when I got up the AM it was still dead. Plugged it in and it started charging. Noticed it is a slower charge but expected due to much larger battery. On my DINC I could charge the 2100 ma battery from dead in like an hour or so. This one is at 30% after close to 2.5 hours on charge. I guess with the added capacity that isn't too bad though.

So i used the smart actions program last night because i left the charger in the box at work. Woke up this morning and am still at 70%.

Full charge took my phone about three hours. I still haven't plugged it in since initial charge and still have 40 percent. Its been about 28 hours but i am by no means a heavy user.

12.5 hours so far off the charger. Moderate use. 40 minutes of Google navigation. No smart actions enabled. 4G area.

Still at 40% left.

Picked mine up at 3 pm, played and charged it to 100%. Off charger at 8 pm, one 15 min call using blue tooth headset, then streamed I heart radio and Tune in radio from 9 pm until 3 am, a couple of short calls and texts and down to 30%.

Today, off charger at 1:30 pm, texts, a few blue tooth calls and I am at 80% at 7 pm.

Now, I do run beautiful widget home, with weather set to refresh every 2 hours, 3 email accounts set to fetch at 1 hour intervals. wifi is off, and bouncing between 3 and 4g around town...

Either I am running to much BS, too often, or it's not what it's cracked up to be... Please chime in...

I have had wifi on all day today, and the battery consumption seems more. Does wifi use mor battery than 3G? (I have 4g off since it is not near me yet)

Its most likely due to Beautiful Widgets updating every 2 hours. Try setting it to say every 4 or every 8 hours and see how that goes.

I took my phone off the charger @ 6:45 am today and just now put it back on the charger and I was down to 30%. I do live in a 4G area, I was on the internet off and on ALL day long, I sent out several text and emails, I reorganized my SD card pictures and music, and I took a few pictures...I am AMAZED and VERY PLEASED with my Razr Maxx. I have had a lot of smartphones and none come close to this one so far. With all my other phones I constantly had to have it on the charger, dropped data, lost calls, had reboots etc...I know its still earlier seeing that I just got the phone yesterday but so far so good. My recent phone was the Bionic and I do have to say I think the Razr Maxx camera is better...my Bionic would take fffooorrreeevvveerrr to take a pic but I've had nothing but snappy photos so far. I hope this phone keeps up the good work :)

seems like i'm in line with most, but it's really hard to tell because i'm not a heavy user and never on the phone "constantly". it's really hard extrapolating anything from anyone when we're all doing different things.

i gotta find a more "specific" criteria to test my phone. moto says it does a round trip gps nav from vegas > la > vegas. well i certainly can't do that here in nyc. i downloaded mapmywalk oand endomondo aand did some gps/nav walking around the city.

somebody on another forum said he got like 18HOURS of video!!! but did not specify streaming or playing on his phone. they also said moto says 6 movies, which is <12 hours of video time.

furthermore, since i'm not a heavy user i don't know if i should test with EVERYTHING turned on or to test it under MY conditions. if i test under my conditions i will never know what the capacity of my battery is, and i know deep down inside i will always be questioning my maxx:D:D:D. BASICALLY, I WANT THE BEST FOR WHAT I PAID, so i think on my next calibration i will just stream or play video to see where the maxx is at.

first charge: 2am to next day 5am(27hrs) and i got a 15% warning
explored phone and made adjustments = 1hr
downloaded 8 apps
calls = 45minutes
gpa/nav with endomundo and mapmywalk = 45min
all three location services on about 50% of the time,,,two on almost 100% of the time.
wi-fi on 60% of the time.
played tetris and a card game = 45min
3g/lte = 65/35

although better than any battery i've ever had, somehow i feel it could be better. i wish i was at 30-40%. it's hard to extrapolate 10hrs of gps or 11 hours of video, but i don't feel i really worked my battery that hard.

they're also saying the battery life gets better after it settles in but i'll be checking the battery for the week anyway...everything else seems to be okay

I posted in the first impressions thread that I am on 25+ hours. I put the phone to test yesterday including a bunch of pictures, setting it up, etc.

To get this amount of life from a 4GLTE phone with this form factor is awesome.

Picked mine up Friday night. Had the original RAZR from launch day. My bro was ready for an upgrade so gave him my RAZR and bought the MAXX on his upgrade. Battery was at about 40% when I left the store, set it up and downloaded most of my apps in 3G. Charged the phone overnight Friday night, just plugged it in after 25 hours with 21% left on the battery. I was between wireless and 3G all day yesterday, downloaded a bunch of stuff, did customizing, texting, WWF, FB and talked a bit and left the phone off the charger all night. All I can say is AWESOME! The phone is a noticeable amount bigger than the RAZR, but with the battery lasting that much longer just on the first day is worth it! My roommate has my old Droid X2 and the MAXX is thinner than that. Waiting for the Incipio Featherlight case to come out for it and I think that will make a difference. I did put a case on it because I scuffed up my first RAZR, so I'm treating this one special lol.
