how you you get youtube videos to show up in a post?? i've tried numberous codes but all that i'm getting to show up is a link, not the actual video... TIA

Its easy as pasting the url to the video you want to post like this:
Train - Calling All Angels - YouTube
But, AF prefer you past your url between two Hide tags enclosed with brackets [] the first one is an open bracket "[" followed by the word 'Hide' then close bracket ] Next paste your youtube url here. The end of your url should have a [/ then the world Hide then close the bracket like this "]"
Heres an example
[Hide]Train - Calling All Angels - YouTube[/Hide]

got it, i guess, but why do i have to click the "show" for it to come up... doing something wrong i imagine..

You got it right! no problem. i think what the tag is helpful for is when a discussion gets full of video links, etc, the pages get slower and slower to load. So placing a 'show" nd "hide" helps spead the page loads.
check out Video Vault and see how some are using the tags. its recent suggestion to start using tags as a norm.

Normally I would post a short blog about what the tag will contain and like this, then add a "Check this out!"
(that way the post doesnt look too bare with just a tag saying "show")
