Power button on the remote doesn't work any more.

MXQ 4K Box...

Everything works just fine (box, remote, TV, etc) and the remote power button worked just fine before.
But now it's just stopped responding.
(The other buttons work fine and I reprogrammed the custom buttons to control my TV.)

Now the only way to deal with this is to unplug it when it's not in use and replug it back in when I want to use it.

I've installed a few apps, made use of the USB ports, etc.

Any possible reasons why this feature has suddenly stopped cooperating?

WARNING: Do not switch the MXQ 4K to ART runtimes.
It will brick your machine and it won't be recoverable.

FIXED!

This fix applied to me on my MXQ 4K box... your box may not react the same or not have the same firmware installed.

The box comes with Kodi 15.2 pre-installed.
This app seemed to have taken over the power button on the remote control.
(I could turn off Kodi 15.2 by using the power button on the remote.)

***I fixed this by uninstalling Kodi 15.2 and installing Kodi 16.1.***

This seems to have had the bonus effect of handing back the control of the power button back to the Android 'standby' feature!
I'm very happy about that!

Of course, the box wakes up every time my USB mouse catches even a hint of air moving by so there's that!
