So, i just had to get a new HTC through warranty. My cat literally puked on my phone and broke it. Anyway, this new phone just started acting all glitchy after i set it up. It randomly opens google, apps and my messages, it will randomly start typing (usually only a couple letters to the last person i was texting with, it never sends though) the flashlight will randomly turn on. I downloaded an anti-virus app, did a scan and it won't pick up any malware. Is there anything i could possibly try before i take it back to Bell to show them???

Sounds like the glass was replaced and they damaged the digitizer.
They sent me a brand new phone, I got the new phone a few days before I sent my broken one to them.

My experience with warranty replacements is that they are almost always refurbished phones.
most likely. I have already tried reformatting it, but i'm wondering if maybe i reformat it and only backup my contacts instead of restoring all of my app, photos etc. if that would make a difference... anyway i'm going to try it and if that doesn't work hopefully Bell can replace it.

uh, no, you did NOT get a brand new phone.
that just does NOT happen in that industry, ever.....
you got a so called "factory refurb" which only means, that someone turned it on, and the display lit up, and they shipped it out the door.
I bought a Garmin GPS 'factory refurb' and it worked for all of ten minutes and then the display went into horizontal lines, and it would not respond to any control buttons. you could not even turn it off with the power button.... it would stay ON until the battery was depleted
called up Garmin support, and they sent me out a "new" refurb....
so far, this one works, for the last two trips I have made.
