I have tried to edit the VPN setting on my LG G2 phone just now, and it says "must change screen lock before you use credential storage".
When I tried the same this morning, it wanted me to give a password before allowing me to do anything with VPN. I am pretty sure I have never used any password on that phone for this.
I don't really need to add or change a VPN, but it bugs me to think that, if I need to go to the VPN settings, I won't be able to. My friend has the same phone and he cannot set up any VPN s neither, for the same reason.
I did have to reset the VPN settings last year, after the upgrade to kit kat, because, as my phone is an international one, the upgrade had erased the VPN settings, and I was unable to go online via data, but I remember I never had to give a password then.
Does someone know what's going on here?
