Preview Post removes the Message

When I post a new thread or reply to a thread, the "Preview Post" button correctly shows the preview

I'm using Firefox on Linux Ubuntu 12.04.

I'm not at my computer right now; I'll check various settings tomorrow. You don't have the problem, so it's likely to be something in my settings.

Win7/Firefox 27.0.1. Every once in a while I can't quote a post I'm responding to - I get a blank editor window. But only once a month or so. Local settings for both of us or some fluke in vBulletin? (Or the phase of the moon?)

Well, it must have been something temporary, because today it is working correctly.

Yet another one of those unexplained mysteries!
