Help Printing from an Android

I have a canon wireless printer and after some time messing about have managed to get my s5 and friends Pixi3 to print. Using the canon print service I have printed a PDF poster and tried some JPEG camera images. The poster came out perfect colour but the camera images very dark and not acceptable as a hard copy. It seems to me the canon print service plugin is not giving the right icc profile when translating the camera image to the printer therefore not printing an accurate picture as seen on the phone screen. Long story short does anyone have any tips for this or have come across themselves? I feel it is a colour profile issue as the results are different from PDF to JPEG images but seems there are some limitations to software and setup settings for Android devices. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Is it wifi bluetooth or usb otg connection? Maybe it doesnt eork properly because of connection between the devices

It's Wi-Fi directly between the device and the printer.

The most common issue I've ever ran into when printing different file types is the paper. Were you printing both the posters and photos on the same paper stock?

Yeah it was the same paper.

Try using glossy or even matte-finish stock that's made for specifically for photos, typical 20-24lb bond stock is suitable for text and text with graphics but not very good for photos. It does cost more but the difference in quality is worth it.

I get 100 sheets good quality matte paper under ten pound for excellent quality prints. It is more important to have the correct colour profile than paying through the nose for expensive paper when it isn't needed.

I'll just repeat, the difference in quality is worth the price. If you take the time to do some tests on a computer where you have more control over the printer's settings and different ICC profiles, using the correct paper stock for its intended purpose is a major factor.

Thanks for your input but my question wasn't about paper it was about hardware software.

From everything you've described you're probably not having a hardware nor software problem, it's the wrong type of paper you're using for photos.
