Apps Private repository

Hi all,

a question: is it possible to create a private repository for a private app? I mean a corporate app that should not be on the market.

Thanks in advance and sorry, i know that my english is not very good.

Sure, that's easy. :)

The beauty of Android is that you can get your apk's from anywhere, it does not have to be the official Market. For instance, I get my Last.fm client updates from csmarshal's site (because it's a free app that's only listed in very few countries), but you could just as easily put that on the intranet if you wanted to limit availability to your company's employees.

Oh, also: welcome to the forum! :D

A tutorial?

  1. Create Android app, end up with apk file.
  2. Create web site.
  3. Upload apk file to web site.
  4. Tell your users where to get the file.
  5. There is no step 5.
Or maybe it's something entirely different you want? If it's development help you need, please check out The Android Developer's Guide.
