Hi All

I am new to this forum, so my apologies if I am not in the correct place for this question.

Does anyone know if it is possible to hide my outgoing mobile telephone number when using my HTC Magic phone.

When I call out on my B.T. land line it says that my number has been witheld & I would like to do a similar thing with my Google phone.

I am on a contract & spoke to Vodafone today & they said that all phones have a privacy setting to do this but could not tell me where it was on my handset. I have looked & cant see it either.

They did say that you can dial 141 before the call which would be okay but a bit of a pain unless there is a setting to allow this prefix number on all outgoing calls.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Tony

Hi Tony & Welcome to the forums! :D

You can indeed set it to private via the settings :

Settings -> Call Settings -> Call GSM settings -> Caller ID -> Hide number

It just goes to show how useful this forum is to us newbies...

Thanks again

Along those same lines, is there any easy way to unblock the numbers in the contact list, but to block other outgoing calls. Or is *67 the only way to do this?
