Help Problem connecting with vpn

I am having problems using Cyberghost vpn both with my Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. I have paid for access on both but cannot get connection when trying to access BT OPEN ZONE which gives free wifi access. When using my data allowance on the s5 the vpn login is immediate.
Is this a known problem?

you can try droidvpn, this is better then cyberghost and easy to use
