Problem downloading apps :(

Hi all,

I am having a few issues downloading apps onto my HTC Hero. I have recently changed my google account to the gmail prefix, so i was wondering if this would stop me from downaloading/updating my apps?

This so, there are some way off by passing this in the setting??


I can view the andriod market, but cannot download anything

Yes, it's the googlemail to gmail conversion that has messed it up.
On the google page when doing this you must have not seen the bit which explained it caused problems on Android phones (i missed it too!).
I have switched back to googlemail for now and all of a sudden everything is back to normal on my phone.... you can still use the gmail address etc so there's no real loss.
