Apps problem executing android program

hii...i hav downloaded android SDK tools 19,eclipse3.7.2,ADT plugin,jdk1.6,android 4.0.3 . When i try to run hello world program provided by official android site it gives error as "cannot allocate memory".I tried executing program in both windows7 and ubuntu10.10 installing all the softwares mentioned above but it gives the same error as cannot allocate memory and in windows it also gives error as "emulator-arm.exe stopped responding".Please help me
