Problem finding music after downloading from Dropbox

So a buddy of mine uploaded a couple of songs from his band to our shared dropbox. I downloaded the songs on my phone through the dropbox app. I know where they are on the SD card, as I have made sure they are on there via AndExplorer. However, I cant seem to get the native music app on my Incredible to "find" the music. Is there any way I can direct the native music app to locate these songs so that I can play them through the music app without having to open them up individually to play them? I just want to figure out a way to download a song from my dropbox and have it viewable/playing from the native music app without me having to jump through a bunch of hoops to do so.

Also, I did do a search on this topic... the only other thread I found had about the same question as mine with no responses. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!

Dropbox downloads are located on the SD card in the Dropbox folder. You can use Astro to do a batch cut & paste into your Music folder on your SD card; your application should have no problem finding them then.

Hi!
I've been exporting music from my Dropbox account on my HTC One X ever since I got it and it was just fine (meaning I could find it in the default music player). And today I've tried every single thing I could think of and nothing helped. I exported the song to the internal storage and it showed up in File Manager, but it was nowhere to be found in the music player. I also tried sending it by bluetooth to the device and I still couldn't find it (it showed up in the downloads folder). In the end I transferred it via the USB cable.
Anyone knows what's going on?
Thanks

P. S. I'd rather not download any additional apps, since it was working fine on its own before.
