Apps problem in installing archieves

Hi,
while installing archieves it halts.I am using xp.It halts while showing
"downloading Android sdk platform-tools ,revision 5 "

i have tried for last three days around thousand times.I restarted ,uninstalled a thousand times too.But of no use

Hmm... never heard of this problem before. Does your computer completely freeze? Or, does the download stop? How long into the process does it take for it to "halt"?

After 10% downloading of Android sdk platform-tools,revision 5 it hangs.I have done it several times by complete uninstalling of sdk ,eclipse and repeated the whole process of installing as per the document given in android official web.But of no use.
