Problem with app icons after moving to SD

I sometimes get that too, especially after removing the phone from the charger/computer USB (using the phone as an external device). It takes a little while for the SD Card to "reboot" itself and resolve the shortcuts. If you ever do hook the phone to the computer as a device, be sure to "eject" the drive in My Computer or else a reboot would be required for the SD card to remount.

I never had that problem when charging or using my phone as a thumb drive. This only happens to apps on my sd card after I reboot. I've tried waiting it out but that doesn't work either.

I think you may have to delete those shortcuts and then just make new ones. I think gannman was on the right track. If the phone is hooked up to a computer as a storage device, the sd card is unmounted and is unable to be read by the phone. What you have done is changed the path those shortcuts used to get to those apps. Same thing as on a computer; if you make a shortcut to a file and then change the file's location, that shortcut won't find it.

I was afraid of that. I've been deleting shortcuts/re-adding shortcuts this whole time. It's a pita to do though since sometimes, as you can see, almost an entire page has this problem. Ah well...
