Problem with app "WidgetLocker" with my Samsung Galaxy S II

First post here at the Android forums so if this is in the wrong place I do apologize. I downloaded the app "WidgetLocker" as I hated the wallpaper on the Galaxy S II and having to swipe the whole screen away to unlock it. The problem I am having with the app is that now when I swipe to the right to unlock instead of it bringing me to the home screen, every damn time it brings me to the settings of the app itself. Then I have to hit the home button just to get to the home screen. How do I change the setting so that when I swipe to unlock it does not take me to the WidgetLock settings program. I want to be able to swipe and go right to my home screen.

Thanks from an Android newbie!! I just switched from an iPhone a week ago!

1. If you hate the wallpaper on the Galaxy SII, you can change it to any image you want. You can transfer images from your PC, or take a few pictures of stuff you want to use as wallpaper. press the menu button and select wallpaper, or go to the Gallery and open up the picture you want, select menu>more>set as>wallpaper

2. As for the Widgetlocker problem, go to the widgetlocker settings>advanced>always unlock to home

I do find it odd since I am not using this option on my Galaxy S and it always unlock to the last app I had open when it locked.

First of all thank you my good man for the response. I realize that I can change the home page wallpaper as I have done that but I do not know how to change the lock screens wallpaper.

As far as widgetlocker I have those exact settings and it still does the same thing. If I knew the steps to change the lock screen wallpaper to something than the crappy default ones they came it came with I wouldnt need the widgetlock.

Thank you again for your response.

From where are you changing the wallpaper? From the desktop itself?

If you go into Gallery>select picture>menu>more>set as> it will give you three options:
1) screen wallpaper
2) lockscreen wallpaper
3) contact icon.

Wow, quick responses, I like that!!

Only issue with that is by going into gallery it takes me to my gallery that I have taken pictures with the camera phone. I have an app that has 100s of HD images that I wanted to use one of those images and cannot figure out how. I know, probably really easy but like I said Ive only worked with Android a few weeks now.

Cant say as I dont have that app I guess.

But the Gallery is supposed to show all images on the phone, even from apps. When I go to Gallery, I see all the pictures that I took in the "Camera" album, with others in separate albums. You could check in Menu>Settings>Display>Lockscreen Wallpaper I guess.

As an alternative look for that picture on Google, download it to your phone, and access that from Gallery.

No sir not on my phone. Only thing in the gallery is the stuff Ive taken pictures of. And when I go to change the wallpaper like you said for the lock screen it only will allow me to select from the 5 or so pre-loaded images that came with the phone.

Try downloading a different Gallery app like QuickPic.

Odd. Do you have a carrier branded device?
Ok let me DL that quick here. I assume carrier branded device means who my service is with?? If thats the case I bought the phone through Amazon Wireless and have my service with Sprint.

No I was asking if the phone you have isnt international version as it seems to be behaving differently from the ones I've handled.

Ok, its not international. Once you get those Epics and Captivats and whatnot names, its American branded and filled with some stuff that make it behave differently from the relatively cleaner international versions. Probably leads to the different behaviour for me.
