Problem with Google maps and Calendar on HTC Desire HD

Hi

I am having a problem with calendar and Google maps. When I put a location in an event and then click on it, I used to get Google maps. Now I get HTC locations by default which is pretty useless. How do I default the location finder in the default Calendar app back to Google maps? I have an HTC Desire HD (UK)

You mean HTC Locations? HTC Desire HD == HTC Locations. Also comes up in the People app when you tap an address where Google maps came up before. Haven't found a way to change it as yet.

Yes, seems to be HTC locations. PITA.

Anyone got any info on this, the recent "feature" of changing the link from google maps to HTC locations is an epic fail.

I use aTakephone for contacts/dialler. That launches Google maps when you tap the address.

I have the exact same problem and it's very annoying. It happened after I installed the latest Android 2.3 OS ;(

But it's not a problem as such. HTC have deliberately changed the app to their own one. Which is understandable from their viewpoint.
