Help Problem with group texts

My parents have been having problems with group and mms texts. Simply, they do not receive them at all. If they do start to show up, an option to "download" appears, and when it is pressed, it continues to "think" but does nothing else.

They have contacted Straight Talk about this, factory reset both phones, and have been told that it is everyone else's phones causing the problem.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem or find out whose phone(s) is causing this? Thanks in advance!

Are they coming from iPhones? Then they have to turn the iPhones off and take their phones off iMessage.

Our friends and family have several different types of phones from several carriers. It doesn't seem to matter what type of phone the text comes from, it still does not come through. Even a mms text from me (Huawei Ascend M865C) will not come through to their phones.
