Problem with Jorte Calendar

Quick question from a new user:
I downloaded Jorte on the advice of a Verizon rep (who seemed genuinely knowledgeable). She also recommended this site AND got my Palm contacts downloaded into my new Droid X, so I figured she knew her stuff. (Thanks, Sarah!)
When I try to enter the start and end times for a new event, the outline box navigates from left to right as I select numbers from the keyboard, but no numbers show up in the boxes.
I have to go back to the main event screen to see what I've entered.
I've tried changing the color sceme via "Style" with no luck.

Is it hte built in Droid X keeyboard you are trying to use to enter the times or the one that pops up (built into Jorte) that you are trying to use.

I just tried and when I click on the time a new box shows up with a number pad and that allows me to enter the time.

Thanks for answering.
I'm using the keyboard which pops up when I hit the "start time" or "end time" field.
I was expecting to be able to see the number I entered once I got to the next/blank number field.
