problem with mic

HI,

I am having a weird problem with my HTC 620.
The microphone stopped working during regular calls. However, it works OK in any other app and even during calls if I change to speaker mode.

Anybody has an idea of what could be going on?
Could it be some config that I changed accidentally?

factory reset could be the best way to go. create a backup of all apps. sync app data to google play. then when setting up the phone from scratch restore from back up that should sort it
