Problem with offline syncing Google Play Newsstand?

Anyone else having the problem with offline syncing articles in Google Play Newsstand?

I have all my news sources pinned, and kept offline, the check box above is checked to only show offline sources, but my news somehow never makes it offline.

Anybody know why?

I am having the same problem but with the magazines I have pinned to my device. All I'm seeing is the blank screen, no loading circle, nothing...

Could be they're having difficulties with it.

This is all I'm getting from the Newsstand site at the moment.

Play was giving me a load of 404 errors as well the other night.

Newsstand seems to be OK now. It's not something I use very often though.

Offline newsstand seems to be broken again.

Presumably the peeps in Mountain View, USA have unlimited, always on data, and may not realise offline syncing is broken.

There are still problems with Newsstand for offline use. Refresh fails to download content, and it is then unavailable when offline.

Sometimes if I restart the tablet (Nexus 10, Android 4.4), then Newstand will work better for a short time, but the results are inconsistent.

The only way I have found to ensure content is downloaded is to page through every source and every article while online, and make sure that the content downloads. This is a very slow process, and kinds of defeats the purpose of offline refresh.

Has anyone found a way to cause refresh to work, so that the content is available offline?

Just Realized that Play Newsstand has not auto-synced since December, when I first got the tablet...God I miss currents...
