I'm hoping that someone may have already been where we are and so has a solution. (I looked at all the thread titles in this Portal forum and didn't see our issue. Apologies if it's already been addressed. I'd be grateful if you could direct me to the relevant thread.)
My husband was just resetting his preferences following getting his Portal from repair. (He thought the battery was faulty, they thought it a software problem so refreshed the software for him.)
Strangely, even though he has selected a tone for incoming calls, and checked that the 'silent' option is de-selected and volume is up, his phone won't ring out when he gets a call. It only vibrates. We've tried switching vibrate off, but then he has no clue at all that there is a call, so for now, vibrate is on.
He gets an audible alert for a new text. Why not for calls?
Does anyone have any ideas as to how he might get the audible alert back on incoming calls?
