Root Problem with 'S Planner' widget (keeps reverting to 5day week) [Samsung s5]

I've been having an infuriating problem with the 'S Planner' app widget on my Samsung S5.

The widget gives you a full screen view of your calendar for an entire month. The default (and preferred) setting is for the widget to show the full 7 day week. However, randomly (sometimes 2-3 times a day) the view switches to a 5 day (Mon-Fri) week.

Every time it happens, I have to remove the widget and put it back again.

I've attached a couple of pics of the two views so you can see what I mean.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on here? Is it a known issue?

I can't link it to anything i'm doing on the phone... It seems to happen inconsistently and totally at random.

Grateful for any advice...

I know this is going to be a dumb question... but what do you mean by flavor? The version of Android i'm running?

There are different models of the S5 and I don't know whicv one you are using ...

S5
S5 Active
S5 Mini
S5 Plus
S5 Prime
S5 Sport​

By the way... I should have added that there is no setting in the app itself to select which view the user would prefer - it really does seem to switch to the 5day view all by itself.
