Problem With SD Card

[Android Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos cellphone. I recently upgraded to a 32 GB card and I can't take pictures or make changes such as add new files and directories as upon turning on the phone all new material is deleted. I can seem to write new files to this drive.

SD cards, even micro SD cards, come with a lock switch. Can you confirm that yours is in the unlocked position?
