Help problem with sync calendar

I'm having android 4.4.2 rom aosp_v4_leak.17 device: coolpad f1 8297w

in the google account data to sync there are only app data, contacts, google fit & people details, not the calendar

and maybe because of it, the stock calendar doesn't synchronize with my google calendar
I have tried another calendar- same problem

when I installed the google calendar, things work fine, but I don't like this kind of "solution", I want the freedom to select apps at my will

how do I sort this issue?

Hi

You need to have the Google calendar app installed but you don't have to use it. Just leave it there and use a calendar of your choice which should then sync.

do you see how Google holds us in a "velvet fist"?
i.e. if you install their calendar why bother and install another one developed by someone else?
