Last time there was an over the air update, it didn't seem to finish. It just kept saying "applying updates" for hours on end. So I rebooted my phone and it was the same. I attempted to boot into recovery and it still said applying updates, and then it showed a sick android and the words no command. Eventually, after a lot of button combinations, I got it to reboot and it seems normal. I checked in the update section and it said it's up to date. But a few days ago it was being really slow and choppy so I decided to wipe the partition cache and when I tried to boot into recovery it said "applying updates" and then the "no command" screen again. I finally got it to reboot into regular phone mode but now I feel like I'm stuck between udpates or something. Would you do a factory reset at this point? I can't remember-is app data saved in the google cloud? What about sms/mms? Or do I need to back everything up somehow? Is there a mass way to do this? My phone is not rooted and is an unlocked gsm model. Thank you.
