Problem with YouTube "my account" option

Let me take a second and say: 1.) first post, looking forward to many many more here on the Android Forums. and 2.) I apologize if this isn't in the right forum ... but since it's related to the recent cupcake update I figured I'd give it a shot.

Okay, so, I LOVE that YouTube is now linked to my actual YouTube account (and all of my personal videos) - and for the first day or so after I recieved the OTA official cupcake update, when I pulled up "my account" in the YouTube options all of my videos were showing up properly.

But now, a day or so later the only things that it will retrieve are my playlists and my subscriptions, and even in the case of my playlists, certain videos aren't "available" for one reason or another.

I tried clearing every possible cached or store bit of data on my phone, all the YouTube caches, all my uploader data, all my ties to my Google and YouTube accounts and re-entered them on my WiFi connection so as to avoid any bad ul/dl packets ... and I'm still having that problem.

SO ... anybody else with a YouTube account, can you take a look and see if it actually fetches your uploaded videos when you check your "my account" stats?

I SUSPECT that this is some problem that YouTube is having with the mess of Android users that have gotten the update in recent days flooding their servers with these queries ... but I'd love to see if anybody else can confirm that it's happening on their phone.

Thanks a bunch!

I think its just the application itself because only my favorites show up, none of my uploaded videos show up on the app but they do show up when looking at them through the full http webpage.

Oh and I just got my G1 tuesday I think it was so I only have had it for a few days.

Cool. Thanks for confirming that I'm not the only one experiencing the issue.

I still suspect that YouTube changed something on their end over the past few days, as I was getting all my uploaded videos to show up on day one of the Cupcake update.

Either way, thanks again, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it gets fixed.

So.

This is pretty frustrating considering the ease of operation of the new direct upload to YouTube from phone, only to be told by the YouTube app that I don't have any videos in my account.

The kicker being that it worked just fine the day of and the day after the cupcake update!

When I go to my actual YouTube account in the browser I get the "sorry this video can not be played" error when attempting to watch my videos which makes this problem a double-whammy.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Well, a few weeks later and it's working again!!

Hooray, now I can take some video, upload it directly to my account directly from my phone and then check it out later on YouTube on my phone! (I know, not terribly exciting, but I like to know that features WORK properly when they're added.)

Looks like YouTube worked out whatever the problem was ... and I assume it was a traffic issue on their end as this feature does wind up loading HUGE lists of videos depending on how many the user has on their profile.
