Help Problems connecting to the Android Market

Recently I've been having issues connecting to the Android Market and it's happened while using the phone with 3G, 4G and WiFi. Often it looks like the screen attempts to load the opening page and it gets stuck there. When I am able to connect, I can usually update most of the apps, however Google maps has been a real problem. Has anyone else experienced this ?

i'm having lots of market issues recently getting stuck on my original epic ... not sure it's isolated to epic touch ...

A friend said that the market is getting lots of hits because of the new version of Android coming out along with all the corresponding app updates. In the interim, that same friend suggested a workaround for updating Google Maps, that finally worked.

I went into "Manage Apps", "Clear Data" then powered the phone off and back on, went back into the Market and was able to d/l the latest update.
