Help Problems using BBC iPlayer via Chromecast on Nexus 7

I have just got a new Chromecast for my bedroom and would like to be able to use it to stream content from BBC iPlayer from my Nexus 7. However, we already have another Chromecast connected to the TV in the living room and whenever I press the Cast button within the iPlayer app the only option it gives me is to stream to the device downstairs, the one in my bedroom doesn't show up. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app makes no difference. Since it does show up when casting from Nexflix or Youtube it seems like the problem is with the iPlayer app rather than with my Chromecast. Anyone know how to fix this? My Nexus is running 5.0.1, if that makes any difference.

If you turn off/disconnect the downstairs chromecast, what happens then? Does the iPlayer app see the chromecast in your room?

Not saying it's a viable solution, just something to test.
