problems with battery widget

My Droid was starting to run very slow. Deleted my battery widget and that fixed it. Anyone have problems with this? Is there a better battery indication apparently someone could recommend?
 
I use 2 battery widgets, and my Hero runs fine. One is BatteryLeft, a very nice looking widget that tells how much time till your battery dies. The other is BatteryLife, which tells you the temp of your battery in Farenhieht.

Just went to my downloads on the market and BatteryLeft has a new update that's getting bad reviews. I'm not updating.
