My phone is driving me nuts. It is constantly freezing, to the point that I can barely accept a phone call (there's a 10 second freeze when I hit answer). I realized not long ago that it only freezes and runs slow when I don't have access to data (network or wi-fi). I live in a rural area and data service is choppy. Especially in my house.
I have deduced that the problem is an app that is using background data. I assumed it was Facebook or Twitter. But I uninstalled Twitter and I have been running in safe mode all day and the Facebook app is still running. I have had zero problems.
Does anyone know what might cause this? I've done a factory reset already. It didn't help.
I should add that I have a Motorola Razr MAXX running 4.0.4. My carrier has never released an update for the software and informed me two months after I bought the phone (a year ago) that they won't be releasing an update for it ever.
