Help problems with jellybean

I recently downloaded the jellybean update (4.1.1). I have the old style keyboard enabled (3x4) and when i type on it it shows the first letter on that button ie if i hit 4.3.5.5.6, which used to type hello now shows gdjjm as the first available word. anyone know how to fix this? thanks

well i thought i test for your using the 3x4 keyboard and i also get gdjjm as the first word

Point of interest....if i use swipe type it works like it used to. just some words are a pain to spell with swipe type so it's nice to be able to type the letters normally.
