Problems with Notification Sounds

Hello, I previously has this thread in the SGS4G forum but that area doesnt see to get much traffic so mods please dont move this! lol

but anyway, i just bought a Samsung Galaxy S 4G and i have to say, its a damn near perfect phone. EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE THING, but when i get a my notifications, unless its for a text, dont make any noise!!

-facebook doesnt work
- email doesnt work
- words with friends doesnt work... etc etc etc

how can i fix this?

make sure your notification volume is up. Menu-settings-sounds.

Not sure if the same for your phone, but on my HTC Thunderbolt, i go to facebook, menu settings and i can select a ringtone, there is also silent as a setting. check each area that does not make noise. i.e. email, menu, settings ringtone, etc.

This is great, I did not know you could do that. I have only had my phone a week. Thanks
