Problems with Nova Launcher Wallpaper

Toni T

Lurker
Hi everyone,
I Hope someone can help me with my Nova Launcher Problem:
When i want to use a picture taken with my camera as wallpaper (no scroll function) I always get a black edge on the right side. when activating the scroll function the foremost left homescreen shows the picture perfectly and when scrolling to the left (or right depending on the setting) a black edge appears. using the setting forced scrolling (hope that's translated correctly - i am, using german) the picture scrolls correctly between the homescreens. I tried every setting to get the picture without a black edge and no scrolling but it just won't work!
Thanks!

If all else fails, try image2wallpaper from the playstore

You might not have enough pixels. If you are trying to use a regular thumbnail things can go wonky. There isn't enough info to stretch so it fills in with a black bar. If you have resized an image to send as an MMS, then that may be too small to scroll.

I've had no problem using any photos from any phone I've had - the lowest being a 5MP Nokia. I use full resolution and crop if I have to. I've had to crop some of the earlier photos.
I've used Nova and other launchers plus the wallpaper setting.
