Help Problems with partioning my sd card

Haroon1

Lurker
Hi I have been trying to create a partition on my samsung galaxy ace's external sd card using a software called Minitool partition wizard. Now the problem I have is that whenever I try to create a 2nd partition, it prevents me from doing so by telling me that windows settings only allow a single partition for the disc in drive G.

I insert my sd card into an adaptor which I then insert into the special slot on my laptop made for connecting a phone sd card to the laptop. This slot is drive G on my laptop.

I need a way to alter the windows settings on my laptop inorder to allow me to create a 2nd partition on the sd card, which is inserted in drive G.

I am running Windows 7 home premium on my laptop.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Haroon

Hey Haroon...

Welcome aboard. Hopefully you'll find our community useful.

I've moved your thread to it's support forums. :)

Ignore the warning and make both partitions,"Primary".

If Minitool still doesn't work try the free partitioning software I used by EaseUS(Google their partition manager free version).

HTH :)

Hi thanks for your replies I have managed to fix the problem by using the EaseUS partition master

Check out their free,"ToDo" disc image backup software.I use it to keep a mirror image of my O/S on this laptop and my main PC and also used it to make a bootable flash drive to be able to restore my computers should I have any major problems. It's saved my **s a few times :D
