Apps Problems with SMS Messaging

Hi I'm new to the forums and I need some help.

I'm developing an application that sends an SMS message to facebook so that whenever I'm using it I update my facebook status.

I need to know how to "at a push of a button" send a predefined message to 32665. Please if anyone could help me figure this out that would be extremely helpful. I can send messages from emulator to emulator. But when I put the app on my htc hero it just crashes and I have to force close.

Is your intention to send a "canned" SMS message through the phones SMS client to the specified short code with a single button press?

Sort of. I'm keeping it under raps for right now but yeah thats the jist. I've tried a few tutorials and its just not working for me.

Has anyone done this before I could really use some help!
