Help Problems with using Emoji in non-SMS apps

mkygod

Lurker
In SMS apps such as Messenger, my Emojis work fine and shows the smiley face icon on the bottom right.

However in other apps (for example: Falcon Pro, Meerkat, and Periscope), I am unable to use emoji as there is no smiley face icon on the keyboard

The only workaround that i know is to enable it by activating the "Emjoi keyboard". Then whenever i want to use Emoji, I have long-press the spacebar to switch keyboards for the emoji menu to show up and the menus are super laggy this way. Am I doing something wrong? How do you i get that smiley face icon on the keyboard to show up?

I'm on a Nexus 5 w/ Lollipop.

Ah, that works! I had no idea about long-pressing the Enter button. Thx for the help. I wonder why it's so different from the keyboard layout in SMS where the smiley icon is already shown.

I'm using the Google US keyboard that came with lollipop.
