Problems with WhatsApp on new(ish)phone

Howdie people.

I smashed my Sony Xperia the other day and I am borrowing a Xperia Micro from a friend. The problem I have is when I installed Whatsapp....when I messaged my friends from the new(ish) handset...it comes up with the name of the person who had it before me.....One of my friends say they have 2 accounts visable for me.

One with my number
One with the previous owners name

How can I change this...tis doing my name in.

Are you using your friends SIM card/phone number? Whatsapp uses phone numbers to identify users.

If not I suggest clearing whatsapp data via settings>applications, then uninstall whatsapp. Next search for any whatsapp files with a file explorer & delete those.

delete whatsapp cash from app manager , then edit your contacts phone and sim
