Help "Profile Photos" album/photos can not be deleted?

On my S3 there's an album in the Gallery called "Profile Photos" and no matter what I try it can't be deleted nor the photo in it. The photo in it isn't even being used for anything on the phone or on any of my accounts anymore. Does anyone have any idea how I can delete it? There's also a little icon thing on the album if that helps, attached a screen grab of it below.

i have the same prroblem except i have 3 folders and all the pics are corrupt!

let me know if a fix is found as its rather irritating!

It was linked to my Google+ account when I had this, try clearing the gallery apps cache.

It definitely has something to do with Google+ because now the cover photo on Google+ that I added using my computer is in the same folder and can't be deleted either. Does anyone know a way you can stop them linking like this?

I cleared the cache still there and I still can't delete it :(

You need to stop the syncing before you clear Data and Cache. Settings/Accounts and sync/your gmail.com listing. Uncheck all that has to do with Google+ and Picasa. Once this is done clear the Data and Cache for the Gallery.

I made sure nothing from Google+ or Picasa was syncing then cleared the cache to no prevail, but then I put all the photos I wanted to keep onto an SD card, removed that and then juts cleared all data from the Gallery and that solved the problem. Thanks for the help!
