Is it me or does Android start up programs in the background automatically? I have the Hero from Sprint. Does anyone else have that same problem?

Android can have programs running in the background, thats one of the best things about it. If it bothers you try getting one of the task killer apps on the market.
Yea same here, I did grab a good app killer, and I shut everything down and start it when I want it. and I noticed I can get 2 to 2.5 days out of a charge, before I was getting 1 day. I still play around on it a lot as it is still new toy but killing everything before I set it down helps.
