This is where we will post if we have any ideas for a project that we can start. Remember that no idea is a bad one so post as many as you can think of.

Hmmm what about the umm knock knock mod for our spirits i think the nexus line has it its a app called PGM Nexus

Just looked into it and it seems that it would take a custom kernel to add the mod to our phone and I don't have an extra laptop to do that with since this is the one I use for college :(

I found something that we can include on our next theme or mod. Not sure if I can get it to work because I haven't tested it yet. Very simple thing but not cool enough to be considered a mod.

:D I have found about 5 different mods we can use and I am still looking. Mostly XML editing

Edit: I will post screenshots after I make the mods and see what you think

Yeah I can edit that. What do you have in mind? I can put the Spirit for now but the problem with working on other phones is that we need a tester that owns the phone because a lot of people can get stuck in a bootloop if we just throw the untested mod at them

Edit: Good suggestion man

hmmm i own a nexus 7 1st gen we could possibly mod that sometime

Sounds good to me man. Let's move this conversation to the "***Project Ideas***" thread. I'll move the posts over there real quick :D

Well for now all I have been successful with was making our messaging app capable of sending very long texts (over 400 characters) and also to add 200 recipients lol. So far most of the mods have been failures but I am sure I will figure something out ;)

I can't look for any ATM I have been throttled on my unlimited plan o_O so until my speeds get better I can't do much I get about 80kbs max

Well my hotspot comes from my phone because I use my tablet hmmm I wonder how hard is it to bypass caps I've seen a boost device do it

1-make sure u have ur data disabled or in airplane mode

2-go to root explorer

3-change r/o to r/w(at the top of the screen.

4-Navigate to Data/System

5-Inside Data/System you will find a folder named "Throttle"

6-Long press Throttle folder and select permessions

7-Change permissions to Owner: read and execute only, everything else should be unchecked.

8-when ur done with that press ok and go back to the Throttle folder

9-there should be two files in it(sumtimes only 1,and thats ok too)

10-delete the files from the throttle folder you are in

11-Back out of Data/System to the first menu you were in when you started root explorer

12-change r/w back to r/o

13-exit root explorer and reboot

14-once your phone is up and running, turn your data back on,then your good to go.

you should notice a increase on a speed test. if there is no change you can go back in throttle folder,if those 2 files are back then you prolly missed a step, just go and do the process over again.

Have you tried this? Just saw it in a different area of this site.

It worked I told shiny about it (hes a Dev that works on the s4) and he said that dumbest thing ever well when he's at the mercy of throttling and he tries this he will understand
