Protected Text Message/Picture

How do you go about unprotecting the text and a picture so you can delete the message?

Long press the specific message that is protected and the pop up menu will have the option to unprotect the message. You can even select the entire message thread and choose delete and a pop up will ask you to confirm the deletion. There will be a check box on that pop up to "delete protected messages".
