Proxjmity disable

Please can anyone help me to disable the proximity sensor on my phone,is an LG G stylo carrrier Metropcs.I can't listen to whatsapp audios or even make calls without the screen going black.Help please

Well the screen going black during calls is what it's supposed to do. So I guess you mean that it goes black even if you don't raise the phone to your head. The most likely cause for that is that something is obscuring the proximity sensor, such as a piece of dirt or a badly-designed case. So the first thing I'd try is to take it out of the case (if it's in one), wipe the top of the phone clean and then see whether it still happens.

OK I've done that, even cleaned the proximity sensor but there's absolutely no change.I even tried looking for the hidden menu but didn't see anything about the proximity sensor. This is so frustrating😭😭

These are the only things my hidden menu shows me,am so out of ideas don't know what to do anymore

Are you sure it's a proximity sensor issue? i.e. do you wish the screen to stay on even though the phone is being covered by something.. e.g. your head, pocket etc

No it does so even when nothing is covering it,the only thong making it better is my ear piece.I basically used that all the time now...and is really frustrating

I had the same issue after I cracked my screen and put a different phones screen protector on it so I would look at that and make sure IF you have a screen protector if fits exactly over the sensor so it doesn't trip it (I even tried Saran wrap to see if that would trip and it doesn't although if it is always being tripped you wouldn't be able to unlock your phone unless you're pretty fast idk just what happened to me it might not apply to you hope it works out bud
