He was a real pioneer in the original iPhone jailbreaking scene. He made the only emulators, and he promised everyone they would always be free. He had some booming forums and we all provided some great feedback to help him improve his emulators. Well eventually he, without any warning, suddenly converted his GBA emulator to a paid app. People got a little angry, but were mostly okay with it because the guy deserved a bit of money for his work. Next, he then converted all of his emulators to paid apps, and pushed them as an update to everyone who already had the free ones installed. Everyone saw the updates and excitedly installed them, only to find that the emulators had all been converted to trial versions, and were only good for 7 days until they became inactive, unless they paid for them. They then had to install another jailbreak application that was hated by the rest of the community due to it requiring an account with a credit card and its memory hogging just to install the paid app, and if they uninstalled it to save some memory and regain performance, the emulators would cease to work and would uninstall on their own.
Needless to say, there was an uproar on the forums about this, but Zod carefully deleted all of their posts and didn't offer any type of feedback or resolution for about two months. By that point, the pirate jailbreak community had cracked his emulators and were running them without paying because of being forced to jump through hoops to get the legit version running, along with being forced to run a sub-par jailbreak program.
Zod then released the emulators on the main store every jailbreak user had access to, but the damage was done. People were furious, and he deleted his forums two or three times due to "haters" "spamming" and "trolling", when in reality it was him who screwed everyone and he simply didn't want to hear it.
Basically he's a dev who got both greedy and stupid, and paid the price. I will no longer support his work whatsoever and I urge everyone else to follow suit. He has no interest in actually improving his emulators. Once he releases them, that's pretty much it. He doesn't want to hear feedback, so there is no way to give any. He's a hack, and should be avoided.
