psx4droid on Xperia Play

Has anyone been able to get psx4droid working on their Xperia Play? I tried two games (Ehrgeiz and Final Fantasy Tactics) and neither of them worked. I downloaded the latest version, installed with Astro file manager, left all the settings at their defaults, and tried to load each game. Neither game loads, and, for a few seconds I'm able to get the vibration feedback from a button press, then it freezes and I need to force close it. My only thought right now is that one was a .bin and one was a .img - does the emulator only use .iso's? They came up as options to load, but they might be less compatible or something. Any ideas?

Anyway... im waiting on this update aswell. Just get a black screen after choosing bios 1001.bin file. (tried numerous bios' with no luck), it can't come fast enough!

Have you tried FPSE? You may have better luck with that. I'm not sure how well it works on the Xperia specifically but it runs awesome on my Droid X.

I'm thinking about trying it actually. I found an old/new version (I'm really not sure >_>) of psx4droid that works, but most of the games I'm playing are extremely slow. Anyone else have experience with FPSe on an Xperia Play?

Not sure on that one but for example Tekken 3 on my overclocked to 1.5Ghz Galaxy S was doing about 30-40 fps at best with psx4droid but does a perfectly smooth 60-62fps with fpse

Im having problems with this also....its actually driving me NUTS!

I get a black screen when loading roms, the phone vibrates and the on screen touch buttons appear but then I have to force close, tried several BIOS downloads, plenty of Roms and I get nothing.


Can anyone help?
